ZPD278M is a two-phase stepper motor driver based on DSP control. It combines an advanced DSP control chip with a unique control circuit to form a new generation of fully digital stepper motor drivers. The driving voltage ranges from AC24~80V, and it is compatible with various models of two-phase hybrid stepper motors with a current below 6.0A and an outer diameter of 57~110mm. The driver internally adopts a circuit similar to servo control principles, which ensures smooth motor operation with almost no vibration or noise. The positioning accuracy can reach up to 40,000 pulses per revolution. This product is widely used in large and medium-sized CNC equipment with high resolution, such as engraving machines, medium-sized CNC machine tools, computerized embroidery machines, and packaging machinery.

Precautions

  1. The input voltage must not exceed AC 90V;

  2. The input pulse signal is active on the falling edge; for rising edge control, internal driver parameters need to be set;

  3. When the driver temperature exceeds 75°C, the driver stops working and the fault indicator (ALM) lights up. The driver must be repowered to resume operation only after the temperature drops to 50°C. If overheating protection is triggered, please install a heat sink;

  4. If the overcurrent (load short circuit) fault indicator (ALM) lights up, check the motor wiring and other short-circuit faults. After troubleshooting, repower the driver to restore operation;

  5. If the no-motor fault indicator (ALM) lights up, check the motor wiring. After troubleshooting, repower the driver to restore operation.
