Case Details
MTF TesterAn analytical instrument for testing the performance of optical components
Developed by Optikos, Inc. (USA), the MTF tester measures the modulation transfer function (MTF) and other optical parameters of optical lenses, such as focal length, distortion, and field curvature. This equipment uses VideoMTF video imaging technology for real-time measurement, offering high precision and repeatability. It is suitable for production testing in fields such as automotive lenses, mobile phone cameras, and security lenses. The system is equipped with OpTest7 software, supporting data export and customized test schemes to meet the testing needs of various optical systems, including those with infinite and finite optical paths.
Technical PrincipleThe MTF tester evaluates the imaging performance of an optical system by analyzing the modulation transfer function (MTF), including on-axis and off-axis MTF values, and meridional and sagittal defocus MTF curves. This system can simultaneously measure parameters such as line spread function, phase transfer function, effective focal length, and distortion, supporting dynamic testing of both infinite and finite optical path systems.
